James W French

We are a dedicated team of craftsmen operating from our workshop at Larcombe Farm in the heart of Devon. Our experience in bespoke joinery spans many years, during which we have refined our skills to meet the highest standards of traditional and contemporary woodworking. We specialise in creating completely handmade solutions, from green oak conservatories designed to last for generations to fitted furniture that resolves awkward spaces. Our expertise allows us to translate complex architectural visions into reality, whether that involves crafting a unique painted country kitchen or a modern staircase combining glass, steel, and oak. We approach every commission with a keen eye for detail, ensuring that the precision of our workmanship matches the quality of our materials. We believe in complete transparency, which is why we provide written quotations and communicate clearly about any unforeseen costs that may arise during the execution of a project.

Our professional relationship with clients is defined by clarity, with all terms set out in a formal contract to protect your interests. We take full responsibility for our timber projects, advising clients on the correct post-contract decoration to ensure longevity. Our primary purpose is to bring your bespoke carpentry ideas to life, tailored to your specific requirements without compromise. We serve the South Devon community, covering areas from Dartmoor and Chudleigh to the coastal towns of Torquay and Paignton. Our reputation is built on a foundation of trust, expert problem-solving, and a genuine passion for creating free-standing handmade furniture that fits perfectly into your home.
