Where quality meets excellence, delivery is our top priority
At Salisbury Glass Centre, we take pride in our rich history of excellence in glass fabrication and installation, dating back to 1952. Our story began when Doug Gower decided to start his own business, working out of a small wooden shed. He quickly built a reputation for quality of service, backed by his determination not to let people down. As the business grew, Doug's sons, Paul and Steve, joined the company, bringing their skills and expertise to the table.
Our Journey
We moved to larger premises on Gigant Street in 1968, and Steve joined the company in 1969. Later, Paul's siblings, Mark and Jillian, joined the company in 1977 and 1981, respectively. In the early 1970s, Paul initiated the manufacturing of aluminium windows, cut and assembled in a small workshop close to Gigant Street. This marked the beginning of our replacement window business.
As the business continued to grow, we sought new premises and moved to the Churchfields Industrial Estate in 1982. This marked the retirement of Doug Gower and the takeover of the company by Paul Gower, who drove the company forward. We continued to thrive in the domestic market, while also expanding our commercial products and customer base.
In 2006, Paul and Steve Gower decided to retire, and Mark Gower led a management buy-out, introducing Ian Paton, Chris Grigg, and David Naish to the team. Since then, we have continued to grow and evolve, driven by our core values of quality, integrity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers.
